FARGO — What a wild ride for a Frazee, Minnesota, woman whose popular "That Midwestern Mom" shtick on social media is on fire. Not only that, this mom took a break from her salads and church hotdishes to sing the national anthem at a recent Minnesota Twins game on July 1.

What most people don't see is all the work Amber Estenson puts into her social media show. But all the effort is paying off. She is nearing 1 million followers on TikTok . She has a huge following on Facebook and Instagram, and her Snickers salad video went viral with 3 million views.

"For Pete's sake, this is a salad. We gotta have something healthy in there, don't you know," Estenson says in the TikTok video .

Recently, she made an appearance at Target Field to sing the national anthem.

"It was part of something. The Twins contacted me and asked me to do a promotional video for Target Field — they're trying to get more people to come to the ballpark — and it's their first year having social media content creators do something for them," Estenson said. "And so, I emailed the contact back and was like, 'Hey, by the way, did you know that I sing opera and I would really love to do the national anthem.'"

A Frazee, Minnesota woman is sharing her recipes of a midwestern treat on TikTok, and is gaining a lot of attention.

And so, in front of thousands, this opera singer/social influencer from Frazee belted out the anthem.

Amber now has a manager, and with so many followers on TikTok and Facebook all over the world, she hopes her Midwestern Mom show gets even bigger.

"I could be what I went to school to do, to be crazy in front of the camera, to just have fun with literal strangers on the internet, and it's been a blast to show off my community and do things with my community that I've always known is really special," Estenson said.

Her fan base is widespread.

"When I was at the Twins game, I was just walking around the stadium getting food, (...) every few steps, 'That Midwestern Mom, can we get a picture?'" Estenson said. "I was at Minneapolis Pride. I couldn't go two feet without getting a hug."

She says she often is editing her short videos into the night. But that's OK. She said the other night hundreds around the world tuned in to watch her make a pretzel salad.
