Motorcycle crashes in northern Becker County

Man injured near Bad Medicine Lake was from Grand Forks, N.D.

A driver of a Harley-Davidson motorcycle was injured Sunday, Oct. 11, when the brakes of his bike locked up while rounding a sharp curve, the Minnesota State Patrol reports.

Randy Allen Kroeplin, 62, of Grand Forks, N.D., was taken by ambulance to Essentia in Detroit Lakes for injuries that were not life-threatening.

Kroeplin was westbound on Highway 113 near Horseshoe Road west of Bad Medicine Lake about 4:30 p.m. when his bike's brakes locked up and he lost control, hitting the ditch of Highway 113. Kroeplin was not wearing a helmet.
