Motorcycle, pickup collide on Highway 10 near Audubon; injuries reported

Two Fargo residents were injured Sunday afternoon when a motorcycle and pickup truck crashed into each other on Highway 10 in Audubon. Joel Lynn Aanstad, 65, the driver of the motorcycle, and passenger Pamela Ann Aanstad, 60, were transported to the hospital in Detroit Lakes for treatment. The man was then flown to Fargo for treatment of life-threatening injuries; the female passenger's injuries were not life threatening, according to the Minnesota State Patrol report. The driver of the pickup truck, Randall Roy Kvamme, 68, of Audubon, was reportedly uninjured.

A two-vehicle crash involving a pickup truck and a motorcycle was reported on Highway 10 in Audubon Sunday afternoon, near mile marker 38.

Two Fargo residents were injured in the crash. Joel Lynn Aanstad, 65, the driver of a 2019 Harley Davidson motorcycle, and passenger Pamela Ann Aanstad, 60, were transported to the hospital in Detroit Lakes for treatment. The man was then flown to Fargo for treatment of life-threatening injuries; the female passenger's injuries were not life threatening, according to the Minnesota State Patrol report.

The driver of the 2016 Ford F350 pickup truck, Randall Roy Kvamme, 68, of Audubon, was reportedly uninjured.

The State Patrol reported that the motorcycle was traveling west on Highway 10 as Kvamme, with his pickup facing south, was attempting to cross the highway from the stop sign at the 4th Street intersection when the two vehicles collided.

The Becker County Sheriff’s Office, Detroit Lakes Fire and Police, Audubon Fire and Rescue, St. Mary’s EMS, and Sanford Air assisted the State Patrol at the scene of the accident, which was reported at 3:02 p.m. Sunday, June 27.
