A North Dakota man was sentenced Monday in Becker County District Court on a felony charge of financial transaction card fraud.
Alexander James Miller, 20, of 493 2nd St. SE, Beach, N.D., was sentenced to 12 months and one day in prison, stayed on conditions including a 120-day jail sentence, up to five years' supervised probation and community service in lieu of $1,085 in court fines and fees.
Miller was originally accused of using stolen credit cards to make over $650 in purchases at various Detroit Lakes businesses on Sept. 13, 2010, including Walmart, Mellow Moods, L & M Fleet Supply and Subway.
The cards were reported stolen in Traill County, N.D., on Sept. 15, 2010.
