FARGO -- An 18-year-old from Fargo who was hospitalized after being exposed to extreme cold following a New Year's Eve party is back home.
Jacob Eichelberger wrote in his online CaringBridge journal Friday that he was home, "Finally."
The North Dakota State University freshman thanked everyone who had prayed for him, stating: "It totally helped. It feels so good to be home."
Fargo police found Eichelberger suffering from hypothermia and frostbite after someone reported a man screaming and pounding on the door of a south Fargo church.
Eichelberger was initially taken to Innovis Health in Fargo and later taken to Hennepin County Medical Center in Minneapolis.
