Negotiations between DISH Network and WDAY-TV are still ongoing after an agreement was not reached by Monday’s deadline.

According to a news release from WDAY, Monday at 3:59 p.m. marked the end of an extension granted to DISH Network by WDAY after the original agreement was not met on September 30th. WDAY has now set Monday, Oct. 12, at noon as its new deadline date to reach an agreement on an extension with DISH Network.

If the two sides are unable to reach an agreement by noon on Monday, WDAY, WDAZ, KMCY and KBMY will all go to black for DISH Network customers. This means that the news, weather and sports DISH Network customers have come to rely on will no longer be available to them until an agreement is reached.

It also means DISH Network customers will no longer have access to their favorite ABC programming such as, Live! With Kelly and Michael, Rachel Ray, Scandal and Dancing With the Stars and ABC College football.

DISH Network is trying to convince their customers that the cost of your favorite broadcast television shows, news and sports is causing your monthly rate to increase and this negotiation is all about money.

That is not true. The fact is, you receive top value for access to all of your local television stations, not just WDAY, with your DISH Network subscription and you get it all for less than the price of one sports channel.

WDAY is the most watched station that DISH Network offers and the price they are asking is less than a cheap cup of coffee. In addition, they are asking DISH Network to provide two other stations to their customers, XTRA and the local CW affiliate that WDAY offers.

Contact DISH Network at 1-855-318-0572, press “2” and talk to DISH Network.
