NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING AND NOTICE OF INTENT TO AMEND AN ORDINANCE

Pursuant to Minnesota Statutes, Chapter 394 and Chapter 375, notice is hereby given

that the Becker County Planning Commission shall conduct a public hearing on Tues-

day, April 18th, 2006 at 6:30 P.M. in the Upper Courtroom, 2nd Floor, Becker County

Courthouse, 935 Lake Avenue, Detroit Lakes, Minnesota to consider the enactment of

Becker County Zoning Ordinance, Sections 4,6,11,12.

The general purpose and subject matter of Zoning Ordinance Sections is as follows:

1. Purpose: To amend Section 4, Subdivision 2.

Subject Matter: Definition amendments: Pervious Deck, Impervious Surface, Patio,

Setback and Rear Yard Setback.

2. Purpose: To amend Section 6, Subdivision 6.

Subject Matter: Nonconforming Deck Additions ? remove provision; Lake Setback

? Definition amendment; String Line ? Definition amendment.

3. Purpose: To amend Section 11, Subdivision 2, Accessory Structure.

Subject Matter: Accessory Structure Height Requirement Amendment.

4. Purpose: To amend Section 12, Subdivision 3, Water Oriented Accessory Struc-

ture.

Subject Matter: Lot Width criteria and structure size and height amendment.

5. Purpose: To amend Section 16, Conditional Use Permit.

Subject Matter: Add Conditional Use Permit expiration date.

6. Purpose: To amend Section 20, Variance.

Subject Matter: Add Variance expiration date.

7. Purpose: To add Nuisance Section to Ordinance and amend Section 19.

Subject Matter: To define a Nuisance and establish a policy and procedure for

abatement of nuisances.

Copies of the proposed amendments are on file at the Becker County Planning & Zon-

ing Office, 835 Lake Avenue, Detroit Lakes, Minnesota.

All interested persons are invited to attend said hearing or submit written testimony

prior to the hearing date. Written testimony should be submitted to Patricia L. Johnson,
