An Ogema man made his first court appearance on a felony first degree drug charge.

Randy Lee Anthony Bellanger was arrested Sept. 17 after a White Earth officer made a traffic stop in which Bellanger was driving.

According to the complaint filed with Becker County District Court, the officer recognized Bellanger’s passenger as having a warrant out for his arrest. That passenger attempted to flee, but was apprehended by the officer, who then asked Bellanger to step out of the vehicle for questioning.

According to the report, the officer found two bags of syringes and a safe cooker on Bellanger, who also told the officer he would find a meth pipe in the vehicle and that it was his.

The officer did reportedly find the pipe, which tested positive for meth residue.
