Douglas Doss Fairbanks, 62, of Box 141, Ogema has been sentenced in Becker County District Court for felony DWI.
According to court records, about 11 p.m. on Jan. 10, a tribal police officer on County Road 34 saw him turn in front of him off Cherry Lake Road.
Fairbanks was driving 30 mph in a 55 mph zone, then slowed to 5 mph, nearly stopped, and turned without signaling.
The officer pulled him over and he failed a preliminary breath test, then refused to take a breath test at the Becker County Jail.
He has four prior DWI convictions and one conviction for felony criminal vehicular operation.

He appeared Sept. 25 before District Judge Jay Carlson, who sentenced him to 36 months in prison at St. Cloud, stayed seven years.
He was fined $1,500 plus $115 in court fees, and must serve 180 days in jail, with credit for two days served.
He was ordered to get a chemical dependency evaluation and follow the recommendations, and was placed on supervised probation for seven years.
