An Ogema woman made her first appearance Monday in Becker County District Court on a felony charge of second degree assault with a dangerous weapon.
Glenda Jean Anderson, 20, of 32033 370th St., Ogema, is accused of stabbing her boyfriend in the arm during a fight that allegedly took place at his Ogema residence on March 4.
According to the criminal complaint, Anderson's boyfriend had just gotten out of bed when she reportedly began to yell and argue with him. After he had finished taking a shower, she allegedly grabbed at him, tore his clothes, ripped out a drawer from the dresser, then walked into the bathroom, returning with a knife in her hand.
She then allegedly swung the knife toward him and stabbed him in the left forearm. According to the complaint, about an hour after the incident occurred, she allegedly sent him a text message saying she loved him and she was sorry. Anderson was subsequently taken into custody at her mother's home.
She has been released on $3,000 bail, pending her next court appearance at a Rule 8 hearing, scheduled to take place Monday. The victim in the case has also filed a protection order prohibiting her from having contact with him, which was also a condition of her release on bail.
