Michael Okeson, son of Charlie and Mickey Okeson, Detroit Lakes, has been admitted to North Dakota State University "With Distinction."
He will enter NDSU in fall 2013 and plans to major in history. Distinction means that NDSU is acknowledging Okeson as an honor student.
In high school, Okeson is active in track, 4-H Club, Boys in Leadership Training, Young Life and band. He also is boys cross-country captain and boys swim team captain.
NDSU is recognized as one of the nation's top 108 public and private universities by the Carnegie Commission on Higher Education.
