ORDINANCE NO. 287

An Ordinance Amending and Revising City Code Chapter 702

The Liquor and Wine Licensing Ordinance.

The Council of the City of Detroit Lakes does hereby ordain:

Section 1. City Code Section 702.02, Subd. 2 is hereby amended to provide as follows:

702.02, Subd. 2. General On-Sale Liquor Licenses. "On-sale liquor licenses may be issued under this subdivision to hotels, motels, restaurants and bowling centers to permit "on-sale" of intoxicating liquor. A restaurant licensed under this subdivision must have a minimum seating capacity of 90 persons in its formal dining area. A hotel or motel licensed under this subdivision must have a formal dining area with a minimum seating capacity of 90 and must have at least 60 rooms available for

guests.

Section 2. City Code Section 702.02 is hereby amended to add the following:

702.02, Subd. 2A. On-Sale Liquor License - 1200 East Shore Drive. As authorized by Minnesota Laws 2005, Chapter 131, Sec. 15, an "on-sale" liquor license may be issued under this subdivision for the lodging establishment located at 1200 East Shore Drive and may permit "on-sale" of intoxicating liquor on all days of the week to registered lodging guests and their invitees, and to persons attending the spa, a conference, a meeting or an organized social event at the lodging establishment.
