Pearl Pliska, 86, of Lake Park, died Thursday, April 6, 2006, at Sunnyside Care Center in Lake Park.
Pearl was born March 8, 1920 in Hallock, Minn.; she was raised on a farm and very active in the Catholic church. She truly enjoyed her garden and flowers, as well as her work in the community.
Pearl is survived by two daughters, Mary (Ray) Jones of Covington, Wash., and Betty Zima of Kent, Wash.: two sons, Tom (Donna) Pliska of Minneapolis and Mark (Belinda) Pliska of Ronald, Wash.: brothers and sisters, Alvina Polejewski of Minneapolis, Fremond (Rita) Polejewski of Winnipeg, Canada, Leonard Polejewski of Port Charlotte, Fla., Violet Anderson of Hawley, Mary (Clarence) Hanson of Forest Lake, Minn., Joann (John) Bisek of Houston, Texas, and Helen Polejewski of St. Paul; 12 grandchildren and numerous great grandchildren. Her husband, Frank, preceded her in death.
Services are scheduled for 11 a.m. Tuesday, April 18, at St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church in Lake Park. Visitation will begin at 10 a.m. and will be held for one hour prior to the start of mass. Interment will be in St. Francis Xavier Catholic Cemetery, Lake Park.
