Democratic Congress-man Collin Peterson and his Republican challenger Torrey Westrom will participate in a debate to be broadcast live by Pioneer Public Television at 8 p.m. Oct. 23.
The debate will be a half hour in length.
Westrom and Peterson will answer questions posed by Reed Anfinson, editor and publisher of the Swift County Monitor in Benson and J. P. Cola, news director, KWLM radio in Willmar. Attorney Amy Doll of Morris will serve as the moderator.
Peterson is seeking his 13th term in Congress. The district is one of the country’s most rural and includes most of western Minnesota.
Westrom, of Elbow Lake, is an 18-year veteran of the Minnesota Legislature, where he currently serves as state senator for District 12.
