Timothy Eugene Bloom, 26, of Ponsford made a first appearance in Hubbard County District Court Feb. 4.
He is charged with three counts of first-degree burglary and second-degree assault with a dangerous weapon.
He pleaded innocent to all charges and demanded a speedy trial.
According to court records, a Park Rapids police officer interviewed two individuals about an incident that occurred Nov. 25, 2007 at an apartment in Park Rapids.
The pair said they were sleeping in the living room when five men entered without permission. They identified the men. One of them was Bloom. One of the occupants was severely beaten in the incident.

Bloom appeared before District Judge Paul Rasmussen. Each burglary charge carries a maximum of 20 years in jail and a $35,000 fine. The assault charge carries a maximum of seven years and a $14,000 fine.
