Louis George Tiokasin, 26, of 214 Main Ave., Ponsford, has been charged in Becker County District Court with felon first-degree burglary -- other person present, and felony first-degree burglary -- assault.
On Jan. 1 officers were dispatched to a woman's residence in Pine Point. Tiokasin and two other men had been there earlier and had been asked to leave because they were very intoxicated, according to court records.
Tiokasin allegedly came back a short time later, kicked in the door, and begin punching a man -- who had been asleep on the couch -- numerous times in the face. The man's face and shirt were covered in blood, and he was taken by ambulance to St. Mary's Regional Health Center, where he was treated for a fractured cheekbone and nose. He had surgery two weeks later.
Tiokasin left the residence before police arrived and a warrant for his arrest was issued Feb. 28 by District Judge Lisa Borgen, who ordered him held for court when arrested.
