A Ponsford man is headed back to prison for violating the predatory offender registration requirement.

George Robert Taylor, 26, was sentenced to two years in prison with credit for time served, which was 98 days.

Taylor was convicted of second degree assault from a March 2012 incident in which he stabbed a man twice, leaving him with serious injuries.

Taylor was released from prison in January of this year and was supposed to keep police notified of where he was living, as he was designated a predatory offender.

However, when special agents conducted a compliance check on Taylor in March, they found out he had not been living at the Ponsford address he gave them since he was released from jail.

Taylor was instead found living at his girlfriend’s house in Ponsford, which according to the complaint, he admitted to.
