Riewer funeral is Wednesday

Funeral services for Minnesota National Guard Sgt. Greg N. Riewer are scheduled for 2 p.m. Wednesday, April 4, at Frazee High School.

Riewer, a Frazee native, was killed on Friday, March 23, 2007 in Habbaniyah, Iraq, while on patrol with three other members of his unit, the Bemidji-based Company A, 2nd Battalion, 136th Infantry Regiment.

Visitation for Riewer will take place from 4-9 p.m. Tuesday, April 3, at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Frazee, and resumes for one hour prior to Wednesday's services at the school.

Burial will be at Sacred Heart Catholic Cemetery, Frazee. Furey Funeral Home of Frazee is handling arrangements for the family.

In lieu of flowers, the family has established a scholarship fund in memory of Sgt. Greg Riewer at the United Community Bank, P.O. Box 156, Frazee MN 56544.
