A Sauk Rapids man was sentenced for burglarizing Forum Communications Printing in Detroit Lakes.
Nathan Christopher Braun, 23, was sentenced to one year in jail, with 256 days credit for time served. He will also have to pay more than $1,000 in fines and $2,614 restitution.
Braun had two felony burglary charges dismissed, but was found guilty of fourth degree burglary, a gross misdemeanor.
Braun was arrested following two incidents in July of 2013 when Forum Printing employees reported a change machine missing from the break room containing $300. Six days later, a vending machine there had been broken into, damaged and $94 taken.
Two employees there implicated Braun, who had reportedly admitted to them that he took the change machine and dumped it in a nearby swamp.

Fingerprints on the section of the door of the vending machine that had been vandalized matched Braun’s, who when confronted with the information admitted to it.
