FARGO -- A 29-year-old from Fargo is accused of sexual assault after a 15-year-old girl told police he had sex with her while she was blacked out at a house party on Dec. 18.
A sexual assault charge was filed in Cass County District Court on Wednesday against Lawrence Kolubah Pewee. The charge is a Class C felony that carries a penalty of up to five years in prison.
The teenager told investigators she recalls a man pushing her against a bedroom wall and trying to kiss her. Then she woke up with the same man on top of her, holding her down as she told him to stop.
A friend of the 15-year-old then came into the room and said they need to leave, the girl told police. Both the friend and the alleged victim later picked Pewee out from a photo lineup, according to police reports.
Pewee appeared in court Wednesday. His bail was set at $100,000 cash. He is being held in the Cass County Jail.
