The Polk County Extension Service and Minnesota Lamb and Wool Producers will offer a meeting for anyone interested in sheep production.
The program will be offered starting at 1 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 20, at the Ron Roed farm northeast of McIntosh.
Dan Persons, sheep producer and president of Minnesota Lamb and Wool Producers Association, will offer insight into opportunities in sheep production.
A representative of Dakota Lamb Growers will discuss cooperative marketing opportunities.
Mark Hayek, NRCS Grazing Specialist, will lead a pasture walk and discuss forage species selection and grazing management for sheep.
