Sheryl L. Anderson, 49, Fargo, died Tuesday, April 11, 2006, in Innovis Hospital, Fargo.
Sheryl L. Lockwood was born to Melvin and Joan Lockwood on Dec. 5, 1956, in Greenview, Ill. She grew up and attended school in Greenview. Sheryl married Thomas R. Anderson on Nov. 5, 1977, in Springfield, Ill. They lived in Detroit Lakes for a time before moving to St. Cloud. Sheryl and Tom came to Fargo in 1987 and have lived there since. Sheryl worked for 10 years at Lewis and Clark Elementary School in Fargo.
She is survived by her husband, Thomas, Fargo; two children, Tyler (Amanda) Anderson, St. Louis Park, and Ashley Anderson, Minneapolis; mother, Joan Lockwood, Greenview; brother, Steve (Maria) Lockwood, Raleigh, N.C., and sister, Teri Lockwood, Springfield. Sheryl was preceded by her father.
The "Sheryl L. Anderson Memorial Fund" account has been set up at Bank of the West. The money in this fund will go to the Dakota Medical Foundation, which will match all donations to benefit United Blood Services in Fargo. A plaque in Sheryl's memory will be placed on the wall of the new United Blood Services building, which is opening in June.
