Three snowmobiles broke through the ice while traversing the east side of Lake Bemidji, prompting an ice rescue for four individuals.
The Beltrami County Sherriff's Office reported that Catherine Allen, Rebecca Siegel, Allen Sergeant and Josey Burnette were all rescued. Allen, Siegel and Sergeant were all treated and released at North Country Regional Hospital; the hospital had no record for Burnette.
No serious injuries were reported.
The Beltrami County Sheriff's Office received a 911 call at 6:56 p.m. saying that the snowmobiles had gone through the ice; riders were reportedly in Lake Bemidji near the east side outlet to the Mississippi River.
Responding to the scene were Bemidji firefighters, Beltrami County deputies, Bemidji Police officers and the Bemidji Ambulance Service.

Three Bemidji firefighters responded to the scene with its bright yellow inflatable Fortuna boat (also known as the "tuna" or "banana" boat).
