Daggett does well in 'Elite' meet

Frazee junior trackster Drew Daggett finished with a pair of third-place and a seventh in the Hamline Elite Meet Friday in St. Paul.

The new meet was developed this year where coaches had to submit entries and only the top nine entries in the state (each Class 1A and 2A) would be accepted.

Daggett ran a 15.4 in the 110-meter hurdles, finishing third. He ran a personal best time of 41.06 in the 300 hurdles to tie for a bronze. The Hornet wrapped up the meet with a seventh-place finish in the high jump with a leap of 6-1.

"This was a very good experience for Drew, as he got to go against some of the best in the state in each event," said Frazee head coach Brian Tangen.
