MAHNOMEN - On March 13, shortly after 1 p.m. the Mahnomen County Sheriff's Office School Officer responded to a call from the Mahnomen Elementary principal regarding a student bringing a pellet gun to school.
Upon investigation it was determined that a student had shot the pellet gun at another student. The student, with the pellet gun, then went to the office and explained to staff what has happened.
The plastic pellet gun resembled a real Tac 9MM. The plastic pellet gun was taken as evidence; the student was taken into custody and charges are pending with the County Attorney's Office.
