Non-offending parents group
Lakes Crisis & Resource Center is offering a support/informational group for non-offending parents of sexually abused children. The focus will be supporting the parents, or any other significant person in that child's life, as well as providing information as to what they may be experiencing due to the victimization. The group will be held on Tuesday evenings from 5:30-6:30 starting March 21. Registration is required. Call Kirsten at 847-7446 if you have questions or would like to register.
Compassionate Friends

Compassionate Friends meets the third Thursday of each month at 7 p.m. in Grace Lutheran Church. The mission of the Compassionate Friends is to assist families toward the positive resolution of grief following the death of a child of any age and to provide information to help others be supportive. The Compassionate Friends is a national nonprofit, self-help support organization that offers friendship, understanding and hope to bereaved parents, grandparents and siblings. Beginning Experience
Why walk this journey alone? The Beginning Experience is a support group for those widowed, divorced or separated. Meetings begin Feb. 2, and continue every Thursday for 10 weeks, starting at 7 p.m. on the third floor of the Education Building at First Lutheran Church, DL. Caregivers support
Caregivers need care too. Detroit Lakes area support group for caregivers meets every fourth Tuesday of the month. Meetings are at 10 a.m. in Holy Rosary Catholic Church. For more information, call Tara Giese at 1-800-488-4146. Come for cookies, coffee and conversation.
Domestic Violence Support Group
The Lakes Crisis and Resource Center's latest session of its Domestic Violence Support Group is underway. This group is open to anyone who has ever been involved in an abusive relationship and is designed to provide information and support to those struggling with abuse issues. Lakeland Hospice Grief Support Group

Lakeland Hospice, Inc. offers a grief support group for anyone who has lost a loved one. Meetings are consecutive Tuesdays at 1:30 p.m. in the Hospice office, Fergus Falls. Registration is not necessary, but for further information, call the Hospice office at 218-736-7885 or the group facilitator, Kay Helm, at 218-758-3221. There is no charge, and meetings are strictly confidential.
Emmanuel's Alzheimers
Emmanuel Community's Alzheimer's Support Group meets the second Tuesday of every month at 5:30 p.m. in the Adult Day Care Room. A light supper is served, with the discussion following at 6:30. Contacts are Chaplain Vicki Marthaler at 844-7141 or Nurse Bobbi Jo Koons at 844-7148.
St. Mary's Alzheimers group
St. Mary's Regional Health Center's Alzheimer and Dementia Support group meets the last Thursday of each month at noon in St. Mary's Nursing Center. A lunch is provided. Join them for a video and discussion on "Evaluation of the Dementia Patient." MS Support Group
St. Mary's Regional Health Center's MS support group meets the second Monday of each month at 6 p.m. for a potluck dinner, followed by a 6:30 p.m. meeting, in the Lincoln Park game room, 208 Oak Street.
