DILWORTH - A tow truck driver found a body inside a car parked by the Dilworth Walmart.

Dilworth Police Chief Ty Sharpe said Ed's Towing sent a truck to remove a car believed to be abandoned in the employee parking area about 7 a.m. Wednesday, May 31.

While hooking up the car to be towed, the driver saw someone on the floor of the car covered with a blanket. Police were called, and they found the body.

Sharpe said it appeared the person, who has not yet been identified, died while asleep.

The body was sent to Ramsey County for an autopsy. The investigation into the death is ongoing, Sharpe said.
