Motorists should be aware of work happening on U.S. Highway 10 Monday and Tuesday, Oct. 21 and 22:
- The Frazee Rest Area on westbound Highway 10 by Frazee will be closed from 7 a.m. Monday until Tuesday, according to a Minnesota Department of Transportation news release. MnDOT will chlorinate the well for the rest area. During this time, there will be no running water and the building will be closed. The rest area will be open for parking.
- Then, on Tuesday, starting at 6 a.m., there will be lane and shoulder closures on westbound Highway 10 between Frazee and Detroit Lakes. Utility crews will be removing and installing overhead power poles to accommodate the new Heartland Trail near Acorn Lake. The work is expected to take about one day to complete.
