Starting Nov. 2, the Minnesota Department of Transportation will begin tree removals along Highway 87 in the City of Frazee. Motorists, residents and visitors may encounter slow-moving equipment and potential sidewalk, shoulder and lane closures where crews are working.

The work is in preparation for next year’s reconstruction of Highway 87 in Frazee, scheduled to begin May 31, 2022. Crews will be removing trees that will be directly impacted by the future construction.

The 2022 project includes reconstructing Highway 87 from just south of the Highway 10 interchange to North River Drive in Frazee. Crews will also replace underground utilities, replace sidewalks and build a multi-use trail. For more information about the project, visit mndot.gov/d4/projects/frazee.
