HAWLEY, MINN. - Authorities are searching for the owner of a vehicle hit by a BNSF train in Clay County overnight.
It happened at the railroad crossing on County Road 31, south of Hawley at about 1:30 this morning.
Clay County authorities tell us they believe the vehicle was empty. They also say no one was killed or injured.
Hawley Police believe the train was traveling north when it struck a pickup truck on the north side of the tracks. They could not specify if anyone was injured at the time.
Lifeflight was called to the scene two times while authorities scanned the scene, but no victim has been found.
