Tuesday morning was a rude awaking for most of us around the lakes area -- three inches of snow, wind and temps in the upper 20s blanketed the area.

So what is going on here? What happened to spring? A low-pressure area arrived late Monday night, bringing winter weather to the upper Midwest.

This weekend we are going to celebrate Easter, but if you look outside it doesn't look like Easter, it looks like Christmas instead.

I sure enjoy Easter time, with the flowers blooming and warm temps in the air, but not this year, according to this weekend's forecast:

Saturday: Partly cloudy, with a high near 33. Saturday night: Partly cloudy, with a low around 18 degrees.

Easter Sunday: Mostly sunny, with a high near 42. Sunday night: Mostly clear, with a low around 26 degrees.

Good thing the Easter bunny has a warm fur coat.
