Two people are dead after an early morning blaze near the Concordia College campus in Moorhead.
Moorhead firefighters were called to a four plex at the corner of Ninth Avenue and Ninth Street South around 7 a.m.
On the scene, firefighters had difficulty opening a fire hydrant to help battle the blaze, according to Moorhead Fire Chief Joel Hewitt.
Fargo and Dilworth firefighters helped knock down the fire and the Minnesota state fire marshal has been called to the scene to investigate.
The cause is not known at this time, Hewitt said.
