This year the Miss America Organization announces a new opportunity to help choose one of the finalists at the 2011 Miss America Pageant.
The pageant is live in Las Vegas on Saturday, January 15, 2011 on ABC. Posted at MissAmerica.org are 53 videos made by each of the 2011 contestants. The videos show off their style and personality and explain why they should be chosen as the next Miss America.
The public can vote for their favorite Miss America contestant in four different ways:
- Vote for your favorite contestant's video online by going to www.missamerica.org. On the home page, click the blue bar saying "Click here to vote for your favorite 2011 Miss America contestant." The link will take you to a page with all 53 contestants' photos and videos. Scroll down to choose our very own Miss Minnesota, Kathryn Knuttila. Click the link "Watch Video and Vote" and complete the process.
- Using your mobile phone, text MAMN(letters "MN" represent the state of Minnesota that you are voting for) to 24470, message and data rates may apply.
- "Like" your favorite contestant's video at Facebook.com/MissAmericaOrganization, via the links provided under the "Video Contest" tab. (Must open or have a free facebook account.)
- "Like" your favorite contestant's video at YouTube.com/MissAmericaOrg. (Must open or have a free YouTube account.)
Miss Minnesota fans encourage voting for Kathryn Knuttila so she will become America's Choice. You may vote once per contestant per voting method. Voting closes at 11:59 p.m. PST on Jan. 13. Only votes cast through one of the official voting methods will count. "Likes" on videos posted on other Facebook pages, personal Facebook profiles or any other website will not count toward the final tally.
