A Wadena pedestrian hit by a car at a downtown intersection here Wednesday has died from his injuries, the Minnesota State Patrol said. Raymond Meinhardt, 78, died Thursday, a day after he was hit at about 2 p.m. while walking south in a crosswalk at the intersection of Colfax Avenue Southeast and Highway 71.
A Chevrolet van, driven by 61-year-old Gary Lehnhoff of Sebeka, was going west on Colfax Avenue and stopped at a red light at the intersection. Then the van turned right and hit Meinhardt, the patrol said.
