A Wadena man made his first appearance Tuesday in Becker County District Court on a felony drug charge.
Scott Michael Lowers, 36, of 517 SW First S., Wadena, is accused of using a false name to obtain a prescription for hydrocodone at the Essentia Health-St. Mary's Hospital emergency room on June 11, then filling that prescription at White Drug in Detroit Lakes later in the day.
Lowers has been charged with one felony count of controlled substance crime-fifth degree. He was released Tuesday on his own recognizance pending his next court appearance, at a Nov. 7 omnibus hearing.
