A warrant has been issued for the arrest of a Minnesota man on felony charges including two counts of domestic assault, terroristic threats and domestic assault by strangulation.
George Anthony Thompson Jr., 29, no address given, allegedly assaulted his girlfriend -- with whom he has two children -- during a March 18 incident at a Pine Point residence.
According to the criminal complaint, the woman had fled the home they were sharing in Mille Lacs a couple of days before the incident occurred, because he had become abusive. After he got in touch with her on Facebook, they agreed to meet so he could see their children.
When she got into the vehicle with him (with their seven-month-old child in the back seat), he allegedly became violent, and said "Bitch I'm gonna kill you." He then grabbed her hair and neck, choked her until she lost consciousness, then when she revived a short time later, started choking her again, forcing her out of the vehicle and throwing her on the ground.
While she was on the ground, Thompson reportedly started choking her again, until she couldn't breathe. She said she agreed to return home with him, so he would stop hurting her. When they went back to her mother's home, supposedly in order for her to get her things, she contacted law enforcement, while he drove away -- with the baby still in the back seat.
