A White Earth man made his first appearance Monday in Becker County District Court on felony charges of terroristic threats and violating a protection order.

Lawrence Lewis Larson Jr., 30, of P.O. Box 453, White Earth, is accused of entering a Becker County residence without permission on June 28, in an attempt to see his son. The woman in residence there had filed a protection order against him; a man living at the same residence refused to allow Larson to enter and held him until law enforcement officers arrived. During this time Larson allegedly threatened him and the officers en route to the scene. He has two prior convictions for violating a protection order, both of them occurring in 2001.

Larson will make his next appearance in court on July 12. His bail has been set at $25,000 with conditions, or $75,000 without; he remains in custody at this time.
