Andrea Marie Basswood, 25, of 25751 354th St, Box 267, White Earth has been sentenced in Becker County District Court for felony fleeing a peace officer in a motor vehicle and a misdemeanor charge of fourth-degree DWI charges.
An identical misdemeanor charge was dismissed in a plea agreement.
According to court records:
About 5:21 a.m. on Aug. 1 a Detroit Lakes police officer attempted to stop a vehicle that did not have functioning taillights.
The car sped off and he pursued, activating his squad car's siren and lights. The car traveled southbound on West Avenue at a high rate of speed, turned onto Holmes Street, and continued through two stop signs at speeds about 60 mph before it finally stopped on Lincoln Avenue.

The driver was handcuffed and later identified as Basswood. She was very argumentative and demanded that the officer give her a breath test, which he did.
She tested at .16 percent blood alcohol content. At the jail she tested at .17 percent.
She appeared Wednesday before District Judge Peter Irvine, who stayed imposition of sentence and placed her on supervised probation for three years.
Successful completion of probation will result in a misdemeanor conviction.
She must serve 120 days in jail, with credit for three days served, and pay a total of $620 in fines and court fees.
She was ordered to complete outpatient chemical dependency treatment, abstain from alcohol and drugs, and submit to random testing.
