For Grand Forks, the high temperature of 74 degrees Monday is the third warmest March temperature since 1918. In 1963, it got to 80 degrees on March 31, and in 1946 it was 79 on March 27. It was 74 degrees twice in 2012 and once in 1918. The record shows three days at 80 degrees in March of 1910. However, some of those data appear erroneous and so that month will not be used for this comparison. In any case, weather in the mid to upper 70s in March is rare.
