WILLMAR -- A 36-year-old Willmar man pleaded guilty Tuesday to one felony charge of first-degree criminal sexual conduct for molesting a young girl.
Under a plea agreement reached in Kandiyohi County District Court, another felony criminal sexual conduct charge against Adrian Lee Vanderlinden will be dismissed. He will be sentenced Feb. 22.
The charges were filed after two Willmar Police officers were called to a Willmar residence in October. They observed a pickup leaving the home and later identified Vanderlinden as the driver. A woman there reported that a 12-year-old girl had told her that Vanderlinden had peaked into the shower while she was bathing and touched her breasts and pubic area on the morning of Oct. 18. The woman reported that she had seen Vanderlinden in the bathroom that morning while the girl was showering.
Vanderlinden was arrested the next day after a detective assigned to the case found him outside of the home attempting to contact the girl and other children.
