FARGO - Fargo police say a woman was drunk behind the wheel of a running parked car with a crying 2-year-old boy in the vehicle outside a Fargo Walmart store on Sunday.
A concerned citizen called police at 5:35 p.m. to report a woman who was apparently passed out or in a medical condition with a child in the car in the parking lot of the Walmart at 4731 13th Ave. S., Sgt. Mark Lykken said.
Police arrested Chelsey Jo Hanson, 23, of Mapleton, N.D., on suspicion of felony child neglect and driving under the influence with a child in the vehicle. She was taken to the Cass County Jail.
The child was released to a family member, Lykken said.
