A McIntosh woman was injured in a two-vehicle crash Friday afternoon on Highway 59 near Detroit Lakes.
Cynthia Ann Lecy, 36, of Mcintosh was taken to Essentia St. Mary’s hospital in Detroit Lakes with non-life-threatening injuries, according to the State Patrol.
She was northbound on Highway 59 in a 2013 Chrysler Town & Country minivan and collided with a 2017 Chrysler 300 sedan that was turning east onto County Road 6.
The Chrysler 300 sedan was driven by Cecil Merle Ballard, 68, of Detroit Lakes, who was not injured, according to the State Patrol. He had been stopped facing south on Highway 59, waiting to east onto County Road 6. When the north-south traffic lights turned green, both vehicles entered the intersection and came into contact.
The crash was reported on dry pavement at 2:26 p.m. Both drivers were wearing seatbelts and the airbags did not deploy in either vehicle. No alcohol was involved. St. Mary's EMS assisted at the scene.
