An Osage woman was sentenced on two felony charges in Becker County District Court March 20.

District Judge John Pearson stayed imposition of a prison sentence against Mona Gjerde, 37, of 41858 Highway 34.

Gjerde was charged with two separate counts of fifth-degree possession of a controlled substance.

Gjerde must serve 90 days in jail with credit for time served, was fined $1,174 and placed on supervised probation for up to five years.

Gjerde was arrested July 23, 2005, in Detroit Lakes after a police officer found .4 grams of methamphetamine in her possession. Gjerde was arrested Sept. 19, 2005, on suspicion of posssessing meth, which was discovered on her while being booked at the Becker County Jail.
