Theresa Angela DiMaggio, 44, of Brooklyn Park has been sentenced in Becker County District Court for felony third-degree controlled substance crime. The original charge of felony first-degree controlled substance crime was reduced in a plea agreement.

According to court records, on March 8, 2016, she was involved in the sale of just over 26 grams of meth to a cooperating individual with the West Central Minnesota Drug and Violent Crime Task Force. She admitted transporting a man from the Twin Cities to Becker County, where the sale was made.

DiMaggio appeared in court April 30 before District Judge Jay Carlson, stayed imposition of sentence and placed her on supervised probation for 10 years.

She was ordered to serve 127 days in jail, with credit for 127 days served. She was ordered to pay a $500 fine and $660 in court fees and get a chemical dependency evaluation and follow the recommendations.
