A Pelican Rapids woman suffered serious injuries in a head-on collision Saturday evening on Highway 59 in Otter Tail County.

The driver of the other car, an Elk River teen, was also injured.

Jacquelyn K. Burrows, 63, of Pelican Rapids suffered what the State Patrol calls “serious injury” after the 2004 Chrysler PT Cruiser she was driving southbound on Highway 59 crossed the center line.

It collided head-on with a northbound 2001 Mercury Sable LS driven by Kelsey A. Laugen, 18, of Elk River, who suffered what the State Patrol called non-life-threatening injuries.

The crash was reported at 8:25 p.m. Saturday at mile marker 244 on dry, two-lane blacktop.
