The Minnesota Department of Natural Resources Becoming an Outdoors Woman program is hosting its annual winter workshop March 3-5 at the Deep Portage Environmental Learning Center near Hackensack.
Classes offered include dog sled mushing, ski-joring, ice fishing, snowshoeing, laser and air gun shooting, cross-country skiing, decoy carving, winter survival, trapping, Dutch oven cooking, polar fleece hat making and snowmobiling.
Participants sign up for three classes during the weekend. Lodging, food, equipment and instruction are included in the $160 fee.
