An employee at Brygge Taps and Tastes tested positive for COVID-19 on Friday, June 19, according to a Facebook post by the business around 10 p.m. that night.
The post said that Brygge will remain closed until further notice to clean the facility and for the health of staff and guests.
On Monday, June 22, Gretchen Hunter, owner of Brygge, said in an email to the Tribune that the restaurant was "professionally cleaned and sanitized yesterday." The restaurant will reopen tomorrow, Tuesday June 23 at 11 a.m., she said.
"Thank you so much for all the kindness, support & understanding. The compassionate comments for our employee and for Brygge have meant a lot to everyone," Hunter said. "We are grateful for you ... our wonderful patrons."
