The third COVID-19 death in Otter Tail County has been reported by the Minnesota Department of Health.
"The person who died was in their 80s and no information is available at this time as to where the person acquired the virus," said Shannon Terry, public information officer for Otter Tail County.
The death was the second in Otter Tail County reported this week. No deaths in Otter Tail County from COVID-19 have been related to long-term care facilities, according to Terry.
In all Thursday, Otter Tail County has 164 reported cases in the county with 145 of those cases no longer requiring isolation.
The death count statewide as of Thursday, July 30, stands at 1,594 with 1,219 of those coming in long-term care or assisted living facilities.
