White Earth man gets three years for selling heroin
Jeremy Joseph Azure, 36, of White Earth has been sentenced to over three years in prison for selling heroin on the White Earth Reservation.
He was sentenced July 6 in Becker County District Court for felony third-degree controlled substance crime. The original first-degree drug charge was reduced in a plea agreement.
According to court records, between Jan. 1 and Feb. 21, he was the source of heroin sold by another man on three occasions to a confidential reliable informant with the West Central Minnesota Drug and Violent Crime Task Force.
On July 6, District Judge Jay Carlson sentenced Azure to 36 months in prison at St. Cloud, concurrent with another case. He was ordered to pay a $50 fine and $140 in court fees.
