The 2019 Home and Sport Show was held this past weekend, March 23-24, at Kent Freeman Arena in Detroit Lakes.

A total of 84 exhibitors were there, filling up both arenas with tables and displays related to home remodeling, construction and other projects, as well as outdoor recreation like boating and ice fishing. A large silent auction was held, and there were some educational seminars and prize drawings.

"We had a really good show," summed up Vicki Fenske, a leading organizer with the Lake Region Builders Association. "We had some really great exhibitor feedback."

Fenske said there were just under 1,200 people who attended — a number that was slightly down from previous years, probably due to the weekend's nice weather and other activities going on around town.

"But overall the exhibitors were really happy with how it went," she said. "Thank you to the sponsors of the 2019 Home and Sport Show."
